Creation has a team of 20 professionals across four cities—Chicago and Dallas in the U.S., Mexico City, Mexico, and Bangalore, India. We are poised for significant growth in assets, building the teams, structures, and processes necessary to scale our impact.

Specifically, we are looking to build out our Investor Relations, Marketing, and Capital Raising function with exceptional people who can manage and expand our existing and prospective investor base globally.

The Position We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Fund Accountant to support all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, and operations for our global impact investment funds in private equity and private credit. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our financial data—enabling our team to deliver both strong investor returns and measurable social impact.

Reporting to the CFO, this role offers the opportunity to work across multiple investment vehicles, asset classes, and geographies in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Fund Reporting & Accounting

Maintain accurate financial records for funds, co-investments, and management entities in accordance with GAAP and industry performance standards

Reconcile all transactions, cash positions, and securities holdings across U.S. and international bank and custodian accounts

Prepare and update the general ledger, accounting software, and reporting systems on a regular basis

Generate reports including Net Asset Value (NAVs), financial statements (for the Funds, Co-investments, and General Partner / Management Company), fund performance, drawdowns and distributions, and hedging / foreign exchange

Operational Execution

Initiate and process wire and ACH payments in compliance with internal controls and best practices

Assist with maintaining the investor portal, including uploading statements, capital notices, and annual reports

Calculate carried interest waterfalls and distribute proceeds in accordance with fund governing documents

Support portfolio and investor statement preparation

Stakeholder Support

Liaise with external auditors and authorized third parties to respond to information requests

Coordinate and provide timely, accurate responses to partner and investor inquiries

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, transparent, and high-quality reporting

Assist other finance team members as needed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, demonstrating strong academic performance

3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in fund accounting, private equity, or alternative investments

Solid analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365; experience with accounting and reporting systems required

Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and a service-oriented mindset

Strong interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills

Flexible and willing to roll up sleeves to contribute wherever needed

Enthusiasm for impact investing and working in an entrepreneurial setting
