Job Description General contractor self‑performing Division 9 work in Federal, Educational and Municipal Government commercial construction is seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated & detail oriented individual to assist estimating and administrating local projects.
Our office is in Miami and the vast majority of our projects are in Miami‑Dade and Broward Counties with isolated projects in Monroe, Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties.
The ideal candidate comes from a construction management background or is an engineering/architecture graduate and must meet the following basic qualifications.
Qualifications
Communicate in English and Spanish with proficiency in English;
Have a clean record to obtain security clearances to access Federal Facilities;
Proficiency estimating and managing small to medium sized projects;
Ability to read & interpret construction drawings and specifications;
Good interpersonal skills to maintain excellent client & vendor relationships;
Organized and detail oriented;
Experience on Federal or Educational projects and/or AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project or other estimating/scheduling software experience is a big plus so highlight this on your resume if interested.
Responsibilities
Attend pre‑bid meetings, do quantity take‑offs, obtain quotes from vendors or subcontractors, maintain an updated cost pricing and subcontractor/vendor database, price jobs and schedule & manage some of our projects;
Interact with our clients often;
Work closely with Business Development Manager during the pre‑construction phase and with the Director of Operations during construction & project close‑out phases.
