Location Oregon State Hospital (OSH), a division of the Oregon Health Authority, Salem and Junction City, Oregon.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and coordinate the work of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Provide clinical supervision, assign work, and ensure staff are aligned with hospital goals and practices.

Collaborate with the program executive team and clinical leadership to ensure effective and efficient treatment processes.

Participate in administrative decision‑making, program planning, and implementation of hospital goals.

Provide direct psychiatric care, including assessments, consultations on complex cases, and coverage as needed.

Conduct ongoing patient case reviews, with special attention to individuals facing significant treatment or discharge barriers.

Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSH policies, and professional standards of practice.

Serve as a leader in promoting evidence‑based care, collaborative problem solving, and patient‑centered treatment approaches.

Minimum Qualifications

Board certification or board eligibility at the time of appointment.

Physician's license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners at the time of appointment and maintained throughout employment.

Three (3) years minimum experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
