Introduction Our client is a full‑service small animal hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, currently hiring a full‑time Managing Veterinarian (DVM) to lead their team during an exciting transition to a brand‑new facility. This well‑established practice has strong roots in the community and is known for delivering compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care to dogs and cats. The incoming Managing DVM will have the opportunity to shape operations, mentor team members, and help guide the clinic's continued growth.
Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed on weekends. This is a full‑time position with an emphasis on work‑life balance, although specific doctor shift hours have not been detailed.
Role Description and Responsibilities This position involves both clinical and leadership responsibilities, including general practice, diagnostics, wellness care, dentistry, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. The Managing DVM will be expected to mentor team members, help drive the clinic's operational success, and deliver excellent patient and client care. Candidates should be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Arkansas and skilled in general practice and surgical procedures. Experience in leadership or an interest in taking on a leadership role is preferred.
Practice Details The clinic is outfitted with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities including in‑house lab equipment, digital radiography, diagnostic cytology, ultrasound, and advanced surgical tools. The hospital offers both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, including procedures such as TPLO, fracture repair, lateral sutures, luxating patella correction, mass removals, and FHO. The upcoming relocation to a new facility will further expand the hospital's services and infrastructure.
Team The current team includes two DVMs supported by a skilled staff. The work environment is collaborative and focused on delivering excellent patient outcomes through a combination of compassionate care and advanced medical services. The Managing DVM will play a key role in mentoring the team and shaping the future of the practice.
Package Salary up to $120,000 (Annual)
Base Salary $100k–120k
Sign‑on bonus $30k
