Supply Chain Risk Management Analyst – Washington, DC
Serco, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a Supply Chain Risk Management Analyst to join its Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) Data Team. The role is based in Washington, DC, with hybrid work options that include a remote component and periodic travel to the DC area.
Responsibilities
Perform supply‑chain risk analysis with support from senior team members.
Prepare and deliver professional presentations for senior leaders.
Develop and maintain team processes, including internal communication and file sharing.
Manage small‑scale projects that deliver measurable value to MIB internal customers.
Facilitate incremental and predictable product delivery through disciplined sprint execution and backlog management.
Ensure Jira sprint artifacts—boards, velocity charts, and burndown reports—are up to date.
Report progress and metrics to the Data Director and other senior stakeholders.
Provide program, analytical, and acquisition‑management support to senior MIB executives.
Collaborate with MIB teams across the United States focused on workforce development, supply‑chain/sustainment, and technology development.
Draft information papers in response to congressional inquiries and support reporting to Congress on MIB spend goals and ROI.
Travel as required to carry out the duties above.
Qualifications
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, supply‑chain management, economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience managing small projects and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating via digital tools (Teams, Jira).
Strong facilitation, conflict‑resolution, and communication skills.
Preferred experience with defense acquisition, logistics, or supply‑chain analysis.
Preferred experience preparing professional reports or presentations.
Familiarity with supply‑chain risk management concepts and DoD data systems (FPDS, SAM.gov, SPRS, PIEE, DLA platforms).
Understanding of Agile or Scrum delivery methods.
Experience with Power BI or Tableau is desired.
Knowledge of maritime industrial base is a plus.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
