Lab Overview The Homelessness, Housing & Health Lab in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) seeks an organized, detail‑oriented Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to support research focused on the health of vulnerable and underserved populations.
Job Overview The CRC will assist with two study lines: a multiyear peer recovery support intervention for opioid use disorder treatment among people experiencing homelessness, and a mixed‑methods study on cancer screening and treatment for the same population. Duties include patient‑facing activities at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program and non‑patient‑facing tasks at MGH. The role may also involve additional research projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Review proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines.
Recruit and conduct phone interviews with patients for clinical trials.
Verify the accuracy of study forms and update them per protocol.
Prepare data for analysis and perform data entry.
Document patient visits and procedures.
Assist with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures.
Support interviewing of study subjects.
Help with study regulator submissions.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science required. Experience in lieu of a degree is accepted.
Experience with relevant research projects (0‑1 year preferred).
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
Computer literacy and working knowledge of clinical research protocols.
Respect and professionalism for subjects’ rights and individual needs.
Spanish fluency is strongly preferred but not required.
Proficiency with both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
