Job Description This field-based role requires living within a reasonable distance from the primary city. The position is at a level commensurate with experience.

Execute brand strategy and tactics, manage territory and accounts, build strong customer relationships, and focus on patient-centered sales performance.

Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed them.

Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.

Proactively serve customer needs and develop win‑win agreements between AbbVie and customers.

Plan calls to achieve metrics and optimize coverage for key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.

Build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, and share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales teams.

Differentiates AbbVie’s value proposition, develops disease state experts, and maximizes brand performance.

Drive a present or company vehicle or material handling equipment as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health, science, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; equivalent industry experience required.

At least five (5) years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, or a high school diploma/GED with industry experience, if a bachelor’s degree is not held.

In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and critical thinking.

Proactive in identifying customer style and adapting sales approach; offers innovative solutions.

Experienced in matrix environments, influencing peers, and leading by example.

Preferred: Proven sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account‑based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.

English language proficiency, verbal and written.

Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening; safe driving requirements.

Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facilities and organizations in the assigned territory.

Key Stakeholders

External: Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on brand plan.

Internal: In-field team members, Sales Management, Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, and Brand Plan stakeholders.
