Job Summary Department‑Specific Responsibilities
Develops annual programming plans in collaboration with External Relations Team and larger Walter Center Team to create opportunities for students to explore career fields, develop professional contacts, and build marketable experience.
Creates opportunities for current students to connect with prospective employers and College alumni by securing employer and alumni involvement in on‑ and off‑campus networking events.
Plans and facilitates multiple career‑related events, workshops and classroom presentations each semester on topics relating to job and internship search strategies and the career development process.
Collaborates with relevant student and staff leaders to provide tailored career programming and networking event opportunities.
General Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and markets on‑campus recruitment events to connect students with potential employers.
Assists with managing relationships with employers and alumni through regular communication.
Assists with implementing large‑scale and/or off‑campus events and participates in planning, employer relations, student marketing, event execution, and post‑event evaluation.
Helps coordinate the logistics and scheduling of information sessions, on‑campus interviews, class presentations, and networking events hosted by the career center, featuring alumni and employer representatives.
Oversees the online job and internship posting process and makes critical decisions during the review process to ensure all postings adhere to office and campus policies.
Interprets and enforces policies pertinent to third‑party recruiting and other employment conditions.
Reports and analyzes recruiting data for detailed, annual evaluation.
Meets regularly with colleagues to assist with analyzing recruitment trends and plan employer relations strategies that enhance existing relationships and identify new opportunities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Work Experience
2 years in employer relations, career consulting, or related field

Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
