Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO)
The Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO) plays a critical role in driving growth and profitability of the bank by focusing on closing new business opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients. They focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships with businesses in the $2mm-$20mm space within their assigned market, articulating cash cycle details and ensuring prospects and customers are aware of fraud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Builds and maintains strong relationships with Business Bankers in their assigned teams
Schedules and/or attends calls on both prospects and existing customers to generate new Treasury Management and deposit business
Achieves or exceeds specific production goals
Manages and successfully closes new business with referrals from bankers
Proposes appropriate financial services through a consultative sales approach
Proactively identifies deepening opportunities with existing customers
Prepares and completes sales presentations, including negotiated pricing
Sets expectations with customers about the onboarding experience, including requirements and testing
Prepares and executes implementation documentation to establish new services
Coordinates with Onboarding Team to ensure a smooth enrollment process; manages issues if they arise
Performs timely follow‑up concerning newly implemented treasury management services to ensure client satisfaction
Collaborates with Treasury Management Client Services team to deliver exceptional service and ensure a seamless banking experience for all clients
Assists Business Bankers in understanding treasury management product risk and ensuring Capital One Bank’s policies are applied throughout the sales cycle
Maintains and updates the bank’s SRM system regarding sales calls, pipelines, closed sales, etc., to enable generation of monthly activity reports to track sales and revenue growth by market segment
Skills
Articulates cash cycle details and demonstrates advanced understanding of Treasury Management principles
Displays advanced knowledge of fraud defensive strategies and industry trends
Skilled at analyzing client cash flow patterns and operational needs, offering tailored solutions
Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
Strong client‑facing skills to build trust and long‑term relationships
Develops creative solutions for complex treasury challenges
Works effectively with external and internal partners (e.g., sales support, onboarding, & servicing)
Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of Treasury Management Sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
5+ years of Treasury Management Sales experience

(full‑time, Location‑specific):
Sales Territory: $115,200 – $131,500
McLean, VA: $126,700 – $144,600
Richmond, VA: $115,200 – $131,500
Edison, NJ: $138,300 – $157,800
New York, NY: $138,300 – $157,800
Performance‑based incentive compensation is available. This role is expected to accept applications for a minimum of 5 business days.
