This is a full-time, salary position offering up to $100,000.00 salary and a monthly $100 allowance covering internet and cell phone use. Job Summary : The Senior GL Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, supporting close processes, and maintaining compliance with GAAP across multiple entities. This role provides cross-functional support and is responsible for maintaining a solid foundation of reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis that underpins executive decision-making.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain supporting schedules for GL accounts.
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, including cash, accruals, intercompany, and fixed assets.
Perform flux analysis and support Controller with financial reporting packages
Assist with monthly and year-end close processes.
Maintain the fixed assets subledger and track capital expenditures.
Prepare schedules for prepaids, accruals, and other routine accounting entries
Collaborate with AP and payroll functions to ensure accurate posting and reconciliation.
Support audit activities and maintain strong documentation of accounting processes.
Help maintain and improve accounting policies, controls, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Job Requirements :
7–10 years of accounting experience with demonstrated GL ownership.
Private equity-backed or high-growth environment experience strongly preferred.
Advanced NetSuite experience is non-negotiable.
Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany eliminations.
Advanced Excel proficiency (including formulas, validation, and analysis tools).
Solid understanding of GAAP and experience in developing or improving close processes.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Physical Requirements :
Prolong periods of sitting and / or standing
Working at the computer utilizing monitors, keyboard, and a computer mouse
Communicating via phone and online video conferencing
Ability to lift up to 10lbs
Must have a private workspace to preserve confidentiality.
