About the Role Corner Alliance is supporting our Federal government client in delivering high-impact economic and policy analysis related to broadband, spectrum, and next‑generation communications technologies. Our team provides expertise in financial modeling, spectrum valuation, and socio‑economic impact evaluation to help inform national policy and investment decisions. You will be trusted to provide deep expertise in telecommunications, spectrum management, and public policy economics to guide economic analysis, modeling, and technical oversight under this program. This role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and thought partner to the Federal client and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of economic and financial models related to broadband infrastructure, spectrum valuation, and FirstNet/telecom market dynamics.
Conduct policy and regulatory impact analyses for spectrum and broadband programs.
Provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and mentorship for junior economists and analysts.
Deliver briefings, memos, and presentations to NTIA and interagency stakeholders.
Collaborate with data scientists and policy analysts to translate findings into strategic recommendations.
Contribute to proposal development and thought leadership across Corner Alliance's telecom and broadband portfolio.

Primarily remote, with periodic meetings in Washington, DC. Flexible engagement options available.
Part‑time SME or full‑time (1.0 FTE).
1099 or W‑2 employment.
Required Experience / Skills
Ph.D. or Master’s in Economics, Applied Economics, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in telecommunications, spectrum policy, or regulatory economics.
Proven record of published research, federal testimony, or regulatory impact studies preferred.
Strong proficiency in quantitative modeling and econometrics.
Experience supporting or advising federal agencies, industry, or think tanks on broadband or spectrum issues.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and policy audiences.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with broadband cost modeling, network investment analysis, or universal service programs.
Experience integrating economic models with geospatial or network datasets.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical findings into policy recommendations for decision‑makers.
Prior experience leading or contributing to federal technical assistance programs or grant evaluation efforts.
Excellent writing and storytelling skills for synthesizing complex economic topics.
