Senior Custom Timing Engineer – Circuits

and help shape the future of technology. Our Circuit Solutions Group is seeking a motivated, highly‑motivated individual who loves to collaborate and solve hard technical problems related to netlist timing quality and custom circuit design.

What You’ll Be Doing

Participate in cutting‑edge processor design in deep sub‑micron technologies.

Work as part of a global circuits team to design innovative circuits (digital, semi‑custom, and mixed‑signal analog) that improve performance and reliability of NVIDIA’s next‑generation products.

Develop timing models and methodology for custom macro design at the transistor level, including standard‑cell and custom designs.

Validate timing of custom circuit designs using NanoTime and various SPICE simulations to ensure proper timing of innovative topologies.

Bridge circuit designers, tool developers, and chip‑level timing teams to validate transistor‑level accuracy and timing test correctness.

What We Need To See

Expertise and deep knowledge of industry‑standard STA tools such as NanoTime and PrimeTime.

Experience in timing constraints generation, management, and closure for mixed‑signal designs.

Experience with transistor‑level circuit design and SPICE simulation for correlation to static timing and noise results.

Understanding of crosstalk, noise glitch, OCV, and timing margins.

Familiarity with clock‑specs such as jitter, IR drop, and crosstalk.

Knowledge of .libs usage in NanoTime and PrimeTime.

Strong team‑player with outstanding interpersonal skills.

MS (or equivalent experience) in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years experience in custom design and timing.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

Experience with transistor‑level analog and mixed‑signal (AMS) block design such as op‑amps, comparators, ADCs, etc.

Hands‑on experience in advanced CMOS technologies, including FinFET technology (5nm/3nm/2nm and beyond).

Strong scripting skills for flow automation; experience with TCL or Python is a plus.

Understanding of NanoTime algorithms and associated circuit constraint checks is a massive plus.
