The unit provides high-acuity patient care within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Unit Details Unit Size: 42 beds 21 Medical-Telemetry 21 Intermediate Care Staffing Ratios: Intermediate Care: 1:3 Medical-Telemetry: 1:6 Common Patient Diagnoses Pneumonia (PNA) COPD Exacerbation Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) / Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic State (HHS) Alcohol Withdrawal Gastrointestinal Bleed (GIB) Sepsis Pulmonary Embolism (PE) Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Respiratory Failure Required Skills & Experience Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Technical Skills: Proficient in managing tracheostomies, ventilators, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) Experienced with cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry monitoring Additional Information RNs may float to other units as needed. Nurses will work on both sides of the unit (Medical-Telemetry & Intermediate Care). Upon candidate presentation , agencies must provide a copy of their Massachusetts Staffing License .
