Position Overview
As a Credentialing Specialist for Cynet Health, you will manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring that all required documentation and verifications are completed in a timely manner. You will act as the primary liaison between providers, internal teams, and healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and the successful onboarding of healthcare providers. The role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Credential Management and Documentation:
Ensure all healthcare provider credentials are accurate, complete, and up to date.
Collect, verify, and maintain copies of professional licenses, certifications, and registrations.
Verification & Compliance:
Conduct primary source verification of licenses, certifications, and other required documents.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility-specific regulations.
Process and monitor background checks, employment, and education verifications.
Medical & Health Requirements:
Schedule and track medical assessments and renewals, including physicals, immunizations, and lab tests (Drug Screening, titers (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, flu vaccine, TB testing, etc.).
Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with healthcare professionals, recruiters, and facility contacts to ensure timely credentialing and onboarding.
Coordinate medical scheduling with providers and facilities.
Provide status updates to relevant stakeholders regarding credentialing progress.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, compliance, or a related administrative role.
Proven experience in healthcare staffing, with a focus on credentialing for healthcare providers.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, including JCAHO, TJC, and NCQA guidelines.
Familiarity with credentialing systems and experience using VMS platforms is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
