Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist Job Details: Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 schedule)
36 guaranteed hours per week
No weekend requirements (except Sunday December 21st to allow for 4-day Christmas weekend)
No on-call requirements
2 years of experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, VA License (or pending status)
VA Temporary License acceptable with pending VA License
Work with Varian Truebeam and Phillips Big Bore CT Scanner equipment
Use EPIC EMR system
Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs or any solid colors that match top and bottom
Provide daily care of cancer patients including accurate interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments
Perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students
Assist in Brachytherapy procedures and treatment planning procedures
Check prescriptions, schedule patients, explain procedures, and maintain communication with medical team
Prepare room and equipment according to prescriptions, take and process images
Maintain visual and audible contact with patients during treatments
Observe radiation safety measures and document treatment doses accurately
Make proper immobilization devices for 2-D, 3-D, and IMRT patients Facility: This medical center features a comprehensive Therapeutic Radiology department equipped with state-of-the-art radiation therapy technology.
