We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of critical power electronics hardware, such as traction inverters, DC-DC converters, and onboard chargers. You will not only be a hands‑on technical expert but also a guide and mentor for junior engineers, ensuring the team delivers robust, reliable, and high-performance hardware from concept to production. Technical Execution & Leadership: Own the complete hardware development lifecycle for power electronics subsystems, from initial requirements and architecture definition through component selection, design, validation, and production release. Lead the design of high-voltage, high-power density circuits, including schematic capture, component selection (e.g., Si/SiC MOSFETs, IGBTs, Gate Drivers, Magnetics, Capacitors), and worst-case circuit analysis. Perform critical design calculations for efficiency, thermal performance, stress analysis, and reliability. Provide expert guidance and oversight during PCB layout, specifying stack‑up, placement, and routing rules for high-power, high-frequency, and mixed-signal circuits. Serve as the technical authority for design reviews (schematic, layout, DFMEA), identifying potential risks and ensuring designs meet automotive-grade standards for performance, durability, and EMI/EMC. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and interns. Develop and document best practices for power electronics design, simulation, and testing to elevate the team's overall capability. Validation & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Define and execute hardware validation plans (DVP&R), including bench testing, system integration, and environmental/durability testing. Collaborate closely with Firmware, Mechanical and Thermal teams to ensure the system is optimized for performance, manufacturability, and cost. Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex hardware issues, driving solutions to closure. Requirements M.S. or B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of professional experience in the design and development of power electronics hardware (e.g., Inverters, DCDC Converters, OBC, Motor Drives). Proven, hands‑on experience with the full product development cycle: requirements, simulation, schematic, layout, prototyping, validation, and production launch. Deep understanding of power semiconductor devices (Si/SiC/GaN), magnetic component design, and thermal management. Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., KiCAD, Altium Designer). Strong analytical skills with experience in circuit simulation (e.g., LTspice, PSIM) and worst-case analysis. Experience in the automotive industry, with knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ISO 26262, AEC‑Q100, CISPR 12/25). Proficiency with lab equipment for power electronics validation (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, thermal cameras). Experience with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques and compliance testing. Demonstrated experience in guiding or mentoring other engineers. About the Company Arbor Mobility is a 2W EV start-up based out of Bengaluru, India. We at Arbor Mobility are developing a performance two-wheeler EV motorcycle. The three Co‑Founders have done their Masters in Automotive Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and have worked for various Automotive companies in India and the USA and are now determined to create something exciting in the EV space. The company was started in November, 2022 and is now rapidly expanding. We, at Arbor Mobility are trying to answer the basic question of how to increase the adoption of EVs in India. EV usage is a paradigm shift in consumer behaviour. It requires us to think how to tackle the issues such as charging, range anxiety & safety for a consumer. We at Arbor Mobility think it is essential to make it easy for the customers to switch to EVs. Hence, we have taken an innovative customer centric approach for our product development. This provides an exciting opportunity for anyone who want to join the efforts to build the future of automotive industry in India & the world. #J-18808-Ljbffr
