POSITION SUMMARY This position requires daily preparation of all shipments out of this facility and the ability to access customers websites, transmit ASN’S, create all necessary paperwork, create and understand daily shipping reports, communication with carriers and work closely with the Production Control Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operation of fork trucks and hand trucks in moving products and materials. Operation of banding and wrapping equipment in preparing products for shipment. Operation of bar code printing equipment in preparing labels for product shipments. Completion and application of Finished Good Inventory tags. Operation of shipping scale in weight counting bulk pack products. Pulling product orders from Finished Goods storage and staging them for shipment. Loading and unloading materials from transport carriers. Creating and maintaining Bills of Ladings. Entering all Finished Goods inventory accurately into the ERP system. Must be able to keep all Finished Goods inventory paperwork filed properly. Must be able to assist in quarterly Physical Inventories. Must be able to identify damaged shipments and make documentation of damage. Maintain and replenish inventory of packaging used on production floor. Unload metal trucks, inventory shipment and distribute paperwork to necessary departments. Works closely with the Managers in assisting in the daily operations of that facility. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. WORKING CONDITIONS Dock conditions are very warm and humid in the summer months and very cold in the winter months. Operation of the fork truck in outdoor conditions is sometimes required. Continuous movement of material across the dock area results in hectic, cluttered conditions. Operation of the fork truck in high traffic pedestrian areas requires extreme caution and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical requirements are to lift of up to 40 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have good organizational skills and be able to work on more than one task at a time. Must have good mathematical and computer skills. Must be able to obtain fork truck certification through MKC. Must have prior Forklift experience Must have valid Wisconsin drivers license. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to learn/understand all ERP related modules in regards to the Shipping Dept.
