Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer
position.
The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer will provide systems level support in the area of EMC/EMI to support the NASA Spaceflight Programs. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
EMC analysis, test planning, and circuit test and analysis. Evaluate test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. Progress reports and schedules will be prepared to support design reviews and team meetings. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. A Star ID is required to access Marshall Space Flight Center. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D., with a minimum 14 years of experience, Masters with at least 18 years of experience, or BS with at least 20 years of experience. Candidate must have experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis as related to space or flight hardware and systems. Experience in evaluating test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. Must be proficient with PC and appropriate software programs. Requires domestic travel in the domestic USA ( Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and -462 is a plus.
