Position Title:
Quality Technician
Wage:
$20-$24/hour
Shift:
1st
Hours:
6am-2:30pm
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting quality assurance processes by performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring that products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and internal specifications. This is an associate to hire role for a company in Ixonia, WI.
Quality Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, geometric gauges, etc.) - Conduct first article inspections and complete related documentation - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify compliance with specifications - Document and maintain inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions - Support the development and monitoring of Statistical Process Control (SPC) - Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation - Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues - Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and process efficiency
Quality Technician Requirements: - Previous experience in a manufacturing quality role preferred - Proficiency with precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) - Familiarity with SPC and quality control processes - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents - Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems - Excellent communication and teamwork skills
