Overview: Responsible for managing the planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of high-voltage transmission line and substation projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV. Ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with utility standards, NESC/IEEE codes, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee EPC or utility capital projects involving transmission lines, substations, and grid infrastructure. Manage project lifecycle from concept development through closeout, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality management. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, environmental, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment and efficiency. Develop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and resource plans, ensuring adherence to financial and schedule targets. Interface with utilities, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain approvals and resolve issues. Monitor construction progress, review design packages, and provide technical support during field execution. Ensure compliance with safety standards, QA/QC procedures, and utility specifications. Manage change orders, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation plans. Prepare and present status reports, performance metrics, and project documentation to leadership and clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline). 5–15+ years of experience in transmission and/or substation project management. Strong knowledge of utility standards, NESC, IEEE, and industry construction practices. Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, and project financial systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. PMP or PE license preferred.
