The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in the manufacturing of frameless cabinets. This role ensures minimal downtime and optimal performance of woodworking machinery, automated systems, and facility equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and experienced with industrial maintenance in wood products or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on woodworking and manufacturing equipment (CNC routers, edge banders, saws, ills, presses, conveyors, dust collection systems, etc.). Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and complete timely repairs to minimize production interruptions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment history. Assist in equipment installations, setups, and adjustments for new or modified production lines. Inspect and maintain plant facilities, including lighting, plumbing, compressors, and HVAC systems as needed. Follow safety procedures and ensure all machinery and tools are in safe working condition. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies required for maintenance activities. Support clean, organized, and efficient maintenance area and production floor. Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred. 3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician in a manufacturing environment (woodworking or cabinetry experience a plus). Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Experience with CNC machinery maintenance and troubleshooting required. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as needed. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a production environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Capable of climbing ladders and operating maintenance equipment safely. Benefits
