Job Description
The Operating Room RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the surgical environment. This role requires a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, the ability to assess patients' clinical needs, and effective problem-solving skills. The RN will ensure patient safety during procedures and facilitate a safe and aseptic environment.
Responsibilities
Provide quality patient care during surgical procedures. Assess patient's clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs. Implement safety measures for patient handling and care. Manage stress and function optimally in high-pressure situations. Assume duties as a charge nurse when required. Demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current NYS RN license or eligibility required. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Minimum one year of medical/surgical experience preferred. Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used in an OR/ASU setting. Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias. Why ARMStaffing?
