Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Med/Surg Float Pool
for an exciting job in
Syracuse, NY. Responsibilities: Deliver direct and indirect patient care including monitoring vital signs, assisting with bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility. Support patients recovering from surgery, trauma, or acute illnesses with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Serve as a safety companion for patients at risk of falls, confusion, or behavioral challenges. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment, adhering to infection control and hospital safety standards. Assist nursing staff with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Observe and promptly report any changes in patient condition to nursing or medical personnel. Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication while floating between Med/Surg units. Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, and privacy at all times. Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Active New York State CNA Certification
(in good standing) Current BLS Certification
(AHA or equivalent) Minimum 1 year
of patient care experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility Experience in a
Level 1 trauma hospital
preferred Proven ability to perform ADLs and function effectively as a patient safety companion
