Talascend is currently seeking a
Maintenance Technician
for a W-2 contract opportunity with our client in
Denver, Colorado .
Overview The position involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, while ensuring safety compliance and effective communication.
Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 to 4:30 with on-call 24/7.
Requirements
Advanced ability to identify, isolate, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and system issues efficiently. Expertise in performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to prevent equipment failure and extend asset life. Proficient knowledge of electrical theory, wiring, motors, controls, and using test equipment. Skills in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC units, including knowledge of refrigerants. Ability to repair pipes, valves, fixtures, and troubleshoot drainage issues. Strong general mechanical aptitude, including experience with power transmission, pumps, compressors, and machinery. Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics for installation and repair. Basic to intermediate skills in drywall repair, painting, minor construction, and structural maintenance. Proficient use of hand and power tools, as well as specialized maintenance equipment. Skills in basic welding or light fabrication may be needed. The ability to apply critical thinking and experience to new, complex challenges and implement solutions quickly. Meticulous approach to inspections, repairs, and documentation to ensure accuracy and prevent overlooked issues. Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, prioritize work orders, and complete assignments with reduced supervision. Clearly explaining issues/repairs to supervisors and co-workers, as well as accurately documenting work performed. Planning and executing both routine PMs and emergency repairs within deadlines to minimize downtime. Basic skills for using email, reporting, and specialized maintenance software. Thorough knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to safe work practices.
