Job Summary The Electronics Manufacturing Technician is responsible for assembling, coating, and inspecting high-quality electronic components and assemblies. Multiple full-time openings are available for SMT Operators, Machine Operators, and Coating Technicians in Oldsmar, FL. These positions offer stable hours on 1st and 2nd shifts with weekend overtime opportunities. Candidates will contribute to precision manufacturing processes that support advanced electronics production in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

Job Responsibilities

SMT Operators & Machine Operators

Operate and maintain Surface Mount Technology (SMT) pick-and-place machines such as MyCronic or Universal Fuzion.

Set up, load, and troubleshoot automated SMT production lines.

Perform stencil printing, reflow soldering, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and X-ray inspections.

Verify placement accuracy and overall quality of components.

Support production output, quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts.

Maintain accurate production documentation and follow all safety and quality procedures.

Coating Technicians

Apply conformal coatings, potting, bonding, and insulating materials to electronic assemblies.

Operate coating and dispensing machines such as PVA systems.

Mask, tape, and perform touch-ups for precise coating application.

Conduct visual inspections and ensure adherence to quality assurance standards.

Safely handle and store chemicals, solvents, and process fluids.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

For SMT/Machine Operators: Minimum 2 years of SMT operation experience preferred (MyCronic or Universal Fuzion systems a plus).

For Coating Technicians: 1-3 years of hands-on trade experience (painting, detailing, coatings, or similar) preferred.

Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly specifications.

Proficiency with computers for documentation and machine operation.

Must pass a medical exam in accordance with supplier guidelines.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience

SMT/Machine Operators: 2+ years of manufacturing or SMT experience preferred.

Coating Technicians: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a precision trade environment.

Additional Job Details

Location: Oldsmar, FL.

Shifts: 1st and 2nd shifts available.

Overtime: Weekend overtime opportunities available.
