Johnson Service Group an award-winning staffing company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with 3-5 years' work experience in the repair and maintenance field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This is for an Aircraft company in Camarillo, CA

Pay Rate: $28.00 HR

SUMMARY Constructs, fabricates, installs, repairs and otherwise maintains machines, machine tools and manufacturing equipment. Repairs and maintains building and facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Rebuilds facilities-related machines, equipment and systems; overhauls troublesome components involving dismantling, inspection, machining and/or replacement of purchased or fabricated parts. Diagnoses building and facility deterioration and inoperative conditions. Constructs, repairs and replaces faulty doors, inoperative plumbing, roofing, and parking lot surfaces. Lays out repair parts for sheet metal, machine repair, and building renovation assignments. Sets up an operates machine tools, power tools and welding equipment to fabricate equipment, tooling and attachments to perform unusual, precise and complicated operations. Performs general construction tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, metal fabrication and paint. Works from sketches, blueprints, layouts and verbal instructions. Uses scales squares, micrometers, verniers, gas, resistance and TIG welding equipment, power and hand tools for the machinist, mechanic and carpentry trades. Performs plumbing tasks necessary to relocate machinery on water and air lines. Performs other related duties as required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of general trade fundamentals sufficient to perform repairs and maintenance work. Knowledge of basic welding techniques. Knowledge of power tools, machine tools and their operation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to complete and pass training for forklift and mobile scaffold operation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years work experience in the repair and maintenance field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
