Job Description Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Must-Have: Experience with Siemens CT scanner preferred
Description: Hiring Process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager. The department has 2 scanners, one main and one for emergency cases. Technologists will only cover CT and will not float to other areas. Common types of imaging/studies performed include general CT, CT biopsy, and coronary CTA. Average number of scans/studies performed per overnight shift is 8. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. The lead technologist is responsible for oversight in the department. Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized in this department. There is no in-house radiologist, but a 24/7 reading room is available. IVs must be started as part of the job responsibilities. This position will involve working night shifts from Tuesday to Thursday and covering weekends as needed. Call or standby requirements may exist. Scrubs are not provided, and a specific dress code is in place. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
