An established and respected engineering consulting firm is seeking a
Senior Electrical Project Engineer
to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for a variety of commercial, retail, and institutional projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for a
licensed Professional Engineer
who enjoys technical challenges, thrives in a leadership role, and is passionate about shaping high-quality, code-compliant building systems. Youll take ownership of major projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide engineers and designers toward successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) on key projects. Oversee design documentation, specifications, and calculations. Manage electrical project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to deliver coordinated designs. Review submittals, perform site visits, and ensure construction aligns with design intent. Mentor junior engineers and designers; review work for accuracy and compliance. Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred). 12+ years of experience in electrical design for building systems. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Proven success leading MEP design projects through all phases. Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and related codes. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam; experience with SKM, AGi32, or Visual preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Whats in It for You
