Maintenance Technician

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (with occasional early starts or late stays based on production needs)
Overview:
Essenhaus Foods is seeking an experienced and dependable
Maintenance Technician
to manage all building and equipment maintenance for our food manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, full-time position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production and facility systems to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of maintenance across the plant.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, packaging machines, conveyors, and facility systems. Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Conduct building and facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Order and track parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as needed. Follow all safety procedures and support company food safety and quality programs. Communicate effectively with production and management teams about maintenance priorities and status. Be available for occasional early starts, late stays, or weekend call-ins during production-critical situations. Qualifications:
Minimum
5 years of maintenance experience
in a manufacturing or industrial setting (food manufacturing experience preferred). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems. Basic understanding of PLCs is a plus. Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documents. Must be able to work independently and manage workload efficiently. Strong attention to detail, safety-minded, and reliable. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and production environments.
