Overview

This position supports the Home Health Billing team, focusing on medical billing and collections for medical claims. The role offers a great opportunity to expand your experience in healthcare reimbursement and insurance follow-up while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Process and manage medical billing and collections for home health claims. Review, research, and resolve claim denials and underpayments. Submit claim reconsiderations and appeals to insurance payors. Verify patient benefits, coverage guidelines, and prior authorization requirements. Work from spreadsheets to document denial reasons and update billing systems. Upload and organize supporting documentation (prior auths, clinical notes, etc.). Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Qualifications & Skills

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in medical billing and/or collections Knowledge of Commercial and Medicaid insurance plans Understanding of coverage guidelines and prior authorization processes Familiarity with CTP/HCPCS codes and ICD-10 coding Experience submitting claim reconsiderations and appeals Must be willing to obtain a flu vaccine Preferred:

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing knowledge
