Position Overview We’re looking for an experienced Estimator with at least 4 years of commercial construction experience. This role involves preparing accurate, competitive estimates for negotiated and hard-bid projects within our core markets. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to develop winning proposals and set projects up for success.
Key Responsibilities Estimating & Preconstruction Prepare bids, conceptual cost models, and detailed takeoffs. Review drawings and specifications to develop accurate general condition costs. Coordinate bid-day documentation (insurance, bonding, schedules, etc.). Compare and analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals. Participate in pre-bid walks and value engineering discussions. Technical & Project Support Provide input on constructability, phasing, staffing, and scheduling. Support or lead bid closings and collaborate with senior estimators to ensure accuracy. Participate in buyout processes and project handoffs. Subcontractor & Vendor Relations Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Define work scopes, solicit bids, and provide post-bid feedback. Attend industry events to expand subcontractor partnerships. Safety & Culture Promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture by modeling safe practices and caring for team wellbeing. Comply with all company safety requirements and policies.
Qualifications 4+ years of experience as an estimator in commercial construction (project values $5M–$20M). Experience in ground-up or renovation projects for food & beverage, retail, or hospitality preferred. Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and cost control. Proficiency with Procore, MS Office, Excel, Bluebeam, and MS Project. Knowledge of CSI cost codes and value engineering practices. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites. OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain).
Compensation & Benefits ?
Base Salary:
$87,000 – $115,000 (based on experience) ?
