Our client, a leading national electrical contractor with a strong reputation in large-scale commercial and mission-critical projects, is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee data center projects in the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for an experienced electrical project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and is passionate about delivering projects that exceed client expectations.
About the Role The Project Manager will work closely with senior leadership to manage all phases of commercial electrical construction, from preconstruction through closeout. This person will lead project execution, ensure safety and compliance, and maintain strong client relationships while managing financial performance and team coordination on-site.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of electrical construction for large-scale projects ($10M+), including mission-critical and ground-up builds. Collaborate with senior project management to set objectives, budgets, schedules, and performance standards. Manage contracts, financial tracking, change orders, and reporting to ensure profitability and client satisfaction. Represent the company in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Ensure all work meets NEC standards, OSHA requirements, and company safety protocols. Perform project takeoffs, estimate change orders, and support new business development opportunities. Maintain proactive communication and coordination with field teams, engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience on large-scale commercial or data center projects ($10M+). Background in mission-critical or ground-up electrical construction required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license strongly preferred. Proficient with Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, BIM360, MS Project, P6, and related tools. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Business acumen and familiarity with electrical construction vendors and subcontractors. Willingness to travel and work primarily from project sites. Must be able to pass standard background and MVR checks.
