Overview
Research Consultant - Investment Banking and Private Equity About the Firm Our client, a leading Elite Boutique investment banking advisory firm headquartered in San Francisco, is seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology coverage team. Responsibilities
Transaction Execution:
Lead execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A, IPOs, and capital raise transactions across the technology space. Client Interaction:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, participating in meetings, presentations, and ongoing relationship management. Valuation & Financial Modeling:
Build and review complex financial models (DCF, LBO, comps, precedent transactions) to support transaction analysis. Due Diligence:
Oversee and coordinate due diligence efforts, including data room management and interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Marketing & Pitching:
Assist senior bankers in preparing pitch books and marketing materials for new business development efforts. Mentorship:
Guide and train Analysts and Interns, reviewing deliverables and supporting professional development. Qualifications
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in investment banking, preferably with a focus on the technology sector. Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; MBA or other advanced degrees a plus but not required. Technical Skills:
Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling, PowerPoint presentations, and deal process management. Sector Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the technology landscape (particularly software, SaaS, or fintech), key trends, and strategic drivers. Work Ethic & Attitude:
High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Licensing:
