Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering exclusively with a boutique investment banking and corporate advisory firm to find a Vice President of Investment Banking. The VP will play a pivotal role in transaction execution, client management, and business development.
Base Pay Range:
$160,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Additional Compensation:

Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions and capital raising mandates from inception through closing.
Prepare detailed financial models and analyses, including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and LBO models.
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the due diligence process, including data room management, client interaction, and communication with counterparties and advisors.
Draft and refine Information Memorandums, management presentations, and marketing materials that clearly articulate investment rationale and strategic positioning.
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all transaction deliverables while maintaining high quality standards.
Client & Relationship Management
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Support senior bankers in managing client relationships, participating in strategic discussions, and addressing complex financial or operational issues.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential buyers, investors, private equity firms, and other capital sources.
Contribute to the firm's business development initiatives by preparing client pitches, strategic presentations, and market insights.
Financial Analysis & Research
Conduct industry, market, and company research to identify key trends, valuation drivers, and potential transaction opportunities.
Evaluate financial statements, develop performance benchmarks, and generate insight-driven recommendations for clients.
Maintain internal research databases, financial models, and deal comparables to support ongoing advisory activities.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor, train, and supervise analysts and associates, providing guidance on financial modeling, presentation development, and transaction execution.
Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture that aligns with the firm's client-focused values.
Manage project timelines, delegate effectively, and ensure quality control across deliverables.
Strategic & Firm Contribution
Play an active role in expanding the firm's footprint across key industry verticals through networking, thought leadership, and relationship development.
Identify process improvements and contribute to internal initiatives aimed at enhancing firm efficiency and client delivery.
Demonstrate ownership and accountability in all aspects of deal management and client service.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
MBA or CFA preferred but not required.
7–10+ years of relevant investment banking or corporate advisory experience, including direct transaction execution experience.
Proven track record leading M&A and/or capital raising processes.
Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
