Associate Attorney

Core Responsibilities
Advocateeffectivelyonbehalfofinsurancecarriers,TPAs,andself-insuredemployersinallphasesofworkers’compensationlitigation.
Draftandrespondtopleadings,motions,andotherlegaldocuments.
Prepareaccurateandtimelycorrespondencetoclientsandstakeholders.
Representclientsatcourtappearances,hearings,depositions,andcross-examinations,includingofmedicalprofessionals.
Negotiatecasesettlements,lienclaims,andpreparesettlementdocuments.
Manageandmaintainanorganizedcasecalendartoensurecompliancewithdeadlines.
Proactivelymanagecasesfrominceptionthroughresolution.
Superviseandmentorlegalassistantstoensurehigh-qualitysupportanddevelopment.
Fosterandmaintainpositiverelationshipswithclients,colleagues,vendors,andthirdparties.
Attendandparticipateinmarketingandnetworkingeventswithcurrentandprospectiveclients.
Inputandtrackcaseactivities,correspondence,andbillablehoursinlegalpracticesoftware(e.g.,PracticeMaster,billingsystems).
Conducttrainingseminarsforclientsonrecentupdatestoworkers’compensationlaws.
Staycurrentonlegislativeandcaselawchangesimpactingtheworkers’compensationlandscape.
Attendinternalclientfilereviewsandcontributetostrategiccaseplanning.

J.D.fromanaccreditedlawschoolandactivelicensetopracticelawinCalifornia
ExperiencewithPracticeMasterorsimilarsoftware
ProficientinMicrosoftOfficeSuite(Word,Outlook,Excel),andlegalresearchtoolssuchasLexisNexisorWestlaw.
Skilledindeposition-taking,cross-examinations,andcourtroompresentation.
Abilitytomanagedigitalrecords,andcompliancewithcourte-filingsystems.
In-depthknowledgeofworkers’compensationlaws,procedures,andrelevantcaselaw.

Compensation The projected annual salary is estimated at the range $100,000 - $220,000 per year, based on years of experience and demonstrated expertise. The actual compensation will be formulated by the client and may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience.
