A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Orthopedics Job Details: • Work on a 32-bed orthopedics unit with individual rooms • Day shift patient ratios: 5:1 (6:1 stretch), Night shift patient ratios: 6:1 (7:1 stretch) • Required to work every other weekend • Float to other Med-Surg units as needed • Work with equipment including walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM machines, sky lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign machines, hover mats, bair huggers, and wheelchairs • Use Cerner EMR system • Perform typical procedures including dressing changes, suture/staple removal, Foley catheter care, NG tube management, and wound vac maintenance and removal • Required certifications: BLS • Must have North Carolina nursing license • Hospital experience and orthopedics experience preferred • Must be a team player with ability to adapt to fast-paced environment • Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs Facility: This flagship healthcare facility is licensed for 815 beds and serves as the region's referral center featuring the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
