Overview

SeaStar Senior Services provides in home care, companionship, and care management for seniors and vulnerable adults in Portland metro area, including Clark County, Washington. We are looking for a part time HR Generalist who wants to be part of a company that is focused on providing quality, compassionate care to vulnerable adults.

We are currently looking for someone to work in our SE Portland office Monday through Friday four hours a day (start and end time can be flexible). As our company grows, this position may expand to full-time, if desired.

Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Vancouver, WA

Pay Range: $25 to $28 an hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support in all HR and administrative functions within the department.
• Act as an employee advocate and ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations.
• Facilitate the staffing process and maintain accurate staffing information.
• Perform recruitment activities including writing job advertisements and conducting interviews.
• Handle onboarding of new employees including initial agency orientation.
• Assist with employee relations activities and foster positive communication within the organization.
• Manage benefits program including onboarding health care insurance for the company.
• Handle disciplinary actions including verbal, written, and termination.
• Write 90 day and annual performance reviews and facilitate meetings with employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years previous human resources generalist experience required.
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
