Coverage Needed
- Start: January 2025
- End: 6-9 months, working one week every other month
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Shift Time: 8 AM - 4 PM
Clinical Details
- Setting: Outpatient Clinic
- Diagnostic Radiology with Mammography (biopsy)
- Duties: Reading studies of all modalities, diagnostic mammograms, and breast biopsies
- Required Procedures: Read Mammo, PET, and perform breast biopsies
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: Radiology techs, US techs, other support staff
- Types of Cases:
- Procedures (wire loc, biopsy, etc): 13 per month
- Screening Mammos: 225 per month
- Diagnostic Mammograms: 30 per month
- Types of Reads:
- Procedures (For IR): thoracentesis, paracentesis, biopsies, drains, intro, abdominal drains, suprapubic catheters, nephrostomy tubes, etc.
- CTs, X-rays, Ultrasounds, MRIs
- Read during the day from the list of radiology studies from the emergency department and inpatient
- if there is anything locum doesn't feel comfortable reading, have the option to send to teleradiology group
- PACs system: Merge
- Voice Recognition system: Dragon dictation system
Requirements
- Board Certified (Highly Preferred) or Board Eligible
- State License: CA
- Residency: Required, no specific fellowship
- Ability to perform diagnostic mammograms and biopsies
- PET and any other studies (CT, MRI, X-ray, US, etc) - Preferred
- Certifications: BLS/ACLS and DEA
- Malpractice: Clean - Highly Preferred
- Must maintain qualifications throughout the assignment, including MQSA Standards for 960 mammography studies interpreted every 24 months
