Robinson+Cole, a Vault “Top Ranked” Am Law 200 Firm, seeks an associate to join its Business Transactions Practice Group in its New York, Stamford, Hartford, or Boston offices. Robinson+Cole’s Business Transactions Practice Group partners with clients across industries to handle a diverse array of corporate, financial, and strategic matters. Our attorneys advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings (debt and equity), joint ventures, corporate governance, and complex commercial agreements. Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate transaction documents relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and general corporate matters. Collaborate with colleagues on complex deals in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a team-based approach. Qualifications
Four to six years of experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and general corporate matters. Experience with securities law and capital markets transactions is helpful but not required. Strong writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills; top academic and transactional credentials; ability to work well as part of a team. Admission in the state of the primary office location is required. Compensation
New York and Massachusetts Applicants: The target base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $210,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location. Equal Opportunity
