Overview
GALT Aerospace is seeking a full-time salaried Production/Material Planner to create and optimize the flow of materials to support production schedules and meet customer demand. The planner will utilize GALT's ERP/MRP system to forecast needs, manage inventory levels, and coordinate with internal and external suppliers to ensure production is efficient and on schedule. Plan, schedule, and monitor the flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing cycle. Forecast needs using the ERP/MRP system, manage inventory levels, and coordinate with internal and external suppliers to ensure on-schedule production. Collaborate with program management, engineering, and operations to develop, implement, execute and improve processes to minimize and manage material risk. Support financial reporting and analysis related to material planning and procurement. Perform material analysis and ensure material availability aligns with production plans. Apply fundamentals of project and resource planning, including resource scheduling, critical chain analysis, risk identification and mitigation, and procurement activities. Maintain awareness of defense contracting basics and contracting with suppliers and sub-contractors. Maintain a team-oriented approach, effective communication, problem-solving, and safe practices in daily duties. Required Skills, Experience, and Education
3+ years of supply chain experience as a planner, preferably in the aerospace/defense industry Implement material strategies and ensure material requirements are met for production Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers Identify and resolve potential production bottlenecks, inventory shortages, or other material challenges that could disrupt the manufacturing process Collaborate with program management, engineering, and operations to develop, implement, execute and improve processes to minimize and manage material risk Strong ERP/MRP systems experience and ability to work with large data sets Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (MS-Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams) Understanding of lean manufacturing principles Accurate record-keeping, order processing, and shipment tracking Eligibility as a US Person under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license) Preferred Skills, Experience and Education
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field 2+ years experience with CostPoint ERP/MRP system Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification Team player with proactive attitude and ability to work productively in a dynamic environment Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work well under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of FAR/DFARS/ITAR or experience supporting a government contractor environment Eligible for a DoD security clearance Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit or stand for 1 hour at a time Must be able to operate a computer Pay Scale
Base pay is determined within a range and can progress with experience. The base pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
