Kinnect is a nationally recognized leader in the field, and KinnectU provides training, consulting, and replication services to child- and family-serving organizations. Programs include Ohio Kinship and Adoption Navigator (OhioKAN), Kinnect to Family (KTF), Youth Centered Permanency Roundtables (YCPRT), and Youth Navigator Network (YNN). Kinnect is grateful for support from contracts with government entities, nonprofit partnerships, grants, and donations from foundations and private donors. Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the KinnectU Director focuses on developing and delivering training programs for individuals and groups inside and outside the organization, often to build capacity or address specific needs within a community or sector. The Director may be responsible for developing training materials, selecting effective training methodologies, and measuring impact. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are required. The KinnectU Director is a key leader responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of staff and volunteer training and development, aligned with the organization's mission and goals. This role will supervise a team of trainers and a trainer/replication manager. Essential Functions
Designs and executes strategic plans for KinnectU, including KPIs to measure effectiveness and innovative adaptations Assesses KinnectU effectiveness through quality and trends, then develops opportunities for adjustments Cultivates external partnerships, stakeholders, and professional relationships to support training content and curriculum development Ensures fiscal and budget management through oversight of all program expenses, striving for diverse funding Supports hiring and directly supervises all Knowledge Development staff Active participation in Kinnect’s organization and leadership team Identifies new content required to support staff needs and meet external requests Participates in state/national groups to ensure field innovation Oversees curriculum development and updates Identifies platforms to support in-person, virtual, and other training offerings Develops and manages CQI and evaluation processes Conducts yearly performance evaluations of all training staff Oversees creation of training materials, such as manuals, online tutorials, and handbooks Strategic Planning and Program Development
Assess training needs across all levels of the organization through surveys, interviews, and consultations Develop and implement training programs aligned with the organization's strategic priorities and goals Oversee the creation of training materials, such as manuals, online tutorials, and handbooks Program Implementation and Management
Oversee the delivery of training programs, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency Coordinate training sessions and workshops Manage and maintain training records and equipment Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into training initiatives Evaluation and Improvement
Evaluate training program effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics, and adjust as needed Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development Team Leadership and Collaboration
Supervise and support training staff and volunteers Provide guidance and feedback to team members Collaborate with other departments to align training with organizational objectives Financial Management
Monitor KinnectU training budgets and expenses Collaborate on budgeting and potential fundraising activities to support training programs Compliance and Reporting
Ensure programs comply with laws, regulations, and standards Prepare reports on training sessions and provide insights to senior management Strategic Leadership

Partner to ensure data integrity, program fidelity, and CQI practices Embed program data in organizational evaluation related to the Strategic Plan Recommend improvements and identify best practices Lead change initiatives and improve organizational infrastructure Partnering with Sites and Stakeholders
Collaborate with executive leadership to meet program and organizational deliverables Advocate for training policy changes in partnership with stakeholders Kinnect Organizational Responsibilities
Participate with the Executive Leadership and Senior Management teams Develop high-quality relationships with Kinnect staff Attend meetings and trainings; collaborate across teams for integrated service delivery Engage in special projects as needed Leadership Teaming Expectations

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field. Master’s in Social Work or Public Administration preferred Experience: Instructional design, supervisory role with curriculum development, evaluating methods, and content delivery using multiple techniques and platforms Leadership: Strong leadership and performance management experience Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems and propose solutions Technical Skills: Familiarity with learning management systems and training techniques Nonprofit Sector Knowledge: Understanding of nonprofit operations and regulations Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to adapt to nonprofit landscape changes Integrity and Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards Preferred Skills / Qualifications
