Site Manager at Gray

Working as a Site Manager, you will provide on-site coordination for all phases of the construction project. You will be responsible for budget, schedule, subcontractors, inspections, quality control and job site safety. Responsibilities

Takes ownership of all aspects of the field activities from start up to completion on their projects, including project safety, quality, schedule, planning, jobsite logistics, leading the on-site management team, subcontractor coordination and risk assessment. Maintain and track the overall project schedule and create a two- to three-week lookahead; use the schedule as a management tool to deliver the project on time. Provide real-time data to the Project Manager/Scheduler for schedule maintenance. Ensure Site Safety requirements are met at all times; assist on-site safety personnel if needed; able to stop work for safety violations and counsel subcontractors and team members accordingly. Train project team members on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time and GoGray. Conduct site and weekly meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities so that all teams work cooperatively with the project schedule. Prepare monthly project reports to track safety, schedule, subcontractor performance, quality, budget and customer relations. Collaborate with the PM team to ensure timely buyout of subcontracts and procurement schedule alignment with the project schedule. Lead, teach, and coach subordinates on professional contractual relationships with all project parties. Establish and manage a jobsite safety culture in accordance with Gray’s safety program; lead by example and hold the site team accountable to Gray’s policies and procedures. Mentor and develop team members; oversee setup and closeout of construction site; perform daily project walkthroughs to verify safe, high-quality, on-time work. Communicate early and often with project stakeholders and provide consistent, factual information to the project team, customers, and subcontractors. Review all drawings (shop, architectural, structural, etc.) as issued and maintain a current set on site; study project documents to ensure construction aligns with plans, specifications, and contract. Review project budget with the Project Manager and stay aware of financial impacts from site activities. Assist in developing scopes of work for Project Manager review; may assist in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers; participate in pre-award meetings. Assist in preparing reports such as cost-to-complete, monthly billings, and status reports; implement project closeout and punch list procedures. Manage overall coordination and procurement buyout with the project team once site activities start; manage schedule after mobilization to meet closeout expectations. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications

Minimum of 10+ years related construction experience. Experience as the overall on-site leader for field activities, coordinating design, project, and schedule management. Experience on large construction projects in Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Distribution and Mission Critical markets; project sizes commonly range from $10M to $200M+. Demonstrated leadership to manage and direct on-site project teams to successful completions. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents. Strong people management skills; energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented; aligns with Gray’s core values and commitment to professional development. Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email; proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint. This position requires travel across the United States and, in some cases, internationally. The selected candidate can live anywhere in the USA but must travel to project sites per Gray’s travel policy. EEO statement:
