Overview
VP, Regional BL Manager - High & Slow Speed Synchronous. ABB Motion High Power division focuses on delivering reliable, energy-efficient motors and generators, as well as grid-stabilizing synchronous condensers. The portfolio includes synchronous motors, steam and gas turbine and engine generators, and synchronous condensers vital for modern power systems. This role is based in the United States and Canada with a hybrid work model. This Position reports to: Local Division Manager, Motion High Power Division, United States. Functionally to the Global Business Line Managers, High-Speed Synchronous and Slow-Speed Synchronous. Location options: Milwaukee, WI; Greenville, SC; or Houston, TX. Work model: Hybrid. Responsibilities
Expand the Business Lines’ market presence in the US and Canada. Own the Regional US and Canada Synchronous Business P&L with a US priority. Develop and implement regional strategy to ensure growth and superior customer experience in alignment with the global business strategy. Create and lead a go-to-market strategy that optimizes business line portfolio market opportunities, including relationships with key end-users, EPCs, and OEMs. Lead the Region’s operations and value chain with end-to-end responsibility for working with all supply factories. Ensure excellent customer and market support, and the successful delivery of product management and development projects. Build a forward-looking product roadmap. Lead and develop an organization with high engagement and a strong growth mentality. Drive performance management culture with transparent objectives and expected results. Drive integrity, HSE, quality, continuous improvement, development, and execution of the Local Business Line’s goals; align with the strategic plan. Execute global projects and activities in line with global plans. Implement and ensure business compliance with ABB Corporate and Country standards, rules, and processes. Ensure the Regional Business Line is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed while driving end-to-end regional profit and loss. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering and/or Business. 10+ years of professional experience in Industrial Electrification and Large Project Execution. Understanding of relevant markets, customers, technology, and competition with High Speed and Low Speed Synchronous Motors. Proven leadership track record of leading major organizations with P&L responsibility. Customer-oriented and strategic mindset with a passion to drive business results. Strong communication, collaboration, and people development skills. Excellent written and spoken English. Working authorization to work for ABB in the United States. Up to 50% domestic and international travel. Must have valid Driver’s License and Passport. About ABB
