Overview
Odd Systems is a defence technology company specializing in the development and production of thermal imaging cameras and FPV drones. It was founded by a group of entrepreneurs, engineers, managers, and FPV enthusiasts with prior experience at various international technology companies, including Petcube, a global leader in pet cameras and related software. The company’s products—including the Kurbas-256 and Kurbas-640 thermal imaging cameras, as well as the Stus-7, Lupynis-10, Horskа-12, and other FPV drones—are named after prominent figures of the “Executed Renaissance” and the “Sixtiers” movements, Ukrainian intellectuals of the 20th century who were persecuted and destroyed by the Soviet regime. Head of Legal
to establish and lead our legal function. Responsibilities
Build and Lead Legal Function : Establish and manage in-house legal functions, develop strategy, policies, and act as primary legal advisor to the CEO and executive team. Corporate Structuring & Governance : Lead initiatives for international group structure, corporate compliance, and statutory filings. External Counsel Management : Engage and manage relationships with external legal advisors in Ukraine and internationally. Export Control & Regulatory Compliance : Oversee export control documentation, ensure compliance with Ukrainian, EU, and US regulations. Business Process Development : Design processes for contract management, corporate compliance, and IP rights management, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Intellectual Property Management : Develop IP protection strategies, oversee trademark, patent, and copyright registrations. Qualifications & Experience
Law degree from a recognized university; international qualifications are a plus. 8–10 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in structuring, M&A, cross-border legal work, and export control compliance (preferably Ukrainian, EU, and US regimes) is highly desirable. Previous experience in defence, aerospace, high-tech, or manufacturing sectors is preferred. Experience managing external counsel and multidisciplinary teams. Fluency in Ukrainian and English (written and spoken). Personal Attributes
