Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $36.05 - $44.91 (Hourly Rate).

Responsibilities Job Summary
The Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services share their philosophy of pharmaceutical care. Under Pharmaceutical Services, the Pharmacy Technician II provides pharmaceutical care to patients at Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses and specialized services to researchers on campus. All Pharmacy Technicians are accountable to the supervising or operating pharmacist who is legally responsible by virtue of state licensure for the care and safety of patients served by Pharmaceutical Services. The Pharmacy Technician II performs all activities related to medication preparation, inventory management, and computer entries of prescriptions.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program (includes hands-on training period during externship), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum two (2) years experience in a Specialty Pharmacy and/or in a retail/community pharmacy, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician Certification CPhT
License/Certification
Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the California Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
