About The Position Job Title: X-Ray Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: X-Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 1 year preferred License: ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Clienttion badge provided by agency Description: A radiation badge must be supplied by the agency. The position is for an X-Ray Tech. Daily caseload per technician varies. The shift is 3x12s days, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with holidays as needed. The clinician may work during the week on day shift for orientation during the first week of the contract. The set schedule begins the following week. On-call is required with a rotation of 3-4 days per month. Clinicians may need to float within their scope to meet facility needs. Floating to other buildings on the same campus may be required. First-timers are accepted, but travel experience is preferred. O/C-Arm experience is required. All RTO must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. The hospital is a teaching facility, with a total of 865 staffed beds. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
