Senior Director
to lead high-impact turnaround and restructuring engagements across a diverse portfolio of distressed and underperforming companies. This executive-level role demands deep expertise in financial and operational transformation, stakeholder management, and crisis leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of navigating complex financial challenges, driving recovery strategies, and mentoring high-performing teams. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of businesses in transition and contribute meaningfully to their revitalization. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in and an understanding of the Middle Market and Chapter 11 Bankrupcies. Must be open to travel up to 80%. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Engagement Oversight Lead end-to-end turnaround and restructuring engagements, ensuring strategic alignment, timely execution, and measurable outcomes. Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, including C-suite executives, boards, lenders, legal advisors, and private equity sponsors. Financial & Operational Transformation Direct the development of 13-week cash flow forecasts, integrated financial models, and liquidity management strategies. Oversee operational assessments and performance improvement initiatives to enhance profitability and sustainability. Restructuring & Bankruptcy Expertise Provide expert guidance on Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and post-bankruptcy operations. Lead the evaluation of strategic alternatives, including M&A, refinancing, and asset divestitures. Interim Executive Leadership Serve in or oversee interim executive roles (e.g., Interim CFO), providing hands-on leadership during periods of transition or crisis. Client & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and confidence throughout the engagement lifecycle. Business Development & Practice Growth Drive business development efforts, including sourcing new engagements, preparing proposals, and participating in pitch meetings. Expand the firm's market presence through networking, thought leadership, and industry event participation. Team Development & Mentorship Lead and mentor consulting teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Qualifications
Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus. Experience Minimum 12+ years in turnaround consulting, investment banking, distressed asset management, or corporate restructuring. Demonstrated success in leading complex financial and operational transformations in distressed environments. Skills & Expertise Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities. Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and restructuring processes. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. High emotional intelligence and resilience in high-pressure, ambiguous situations. Industry Exposure Experience across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, energy, education, and consumer products is highly desirable. Technology Proficiency Familiarity with ERP systems, financial software, and advanced analytics platforms. Personal Attributes
