Techno-Functional Oracle Payroll Consultant
Location: Charlotte, NC — 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Contract length: 3+ months with extension and conversion contingent on budget and performance We cannot provide sponsorship — must be able to work directly on Apex's W-2 This role is within a HR technology team that focuses specifically on payroll. The organization implemented Oracle HCM Fusion about a year ago and is continuing to build their teams as their SI partner rolls off. The person should have expert understanding of the Payroll module within Oracle HCM as well as significant experience with Core HR and Compensation modules. The team is seeking someone who understands the configuration and integrations between the modules. This role will involve hands-on development, but also solutioning including working with other teams to craft solutions. Additionally, a major responsibility is to ensure upgrades do not fail as back-end components are updated and quarterly upgrades occur. For instance, the group is replacing a backend program called Vertex with Oracle Calc Engine; the person will need to help with testing and ensuring functionality. From a configuration/integration standpoint, there are many vendors that need to be integrated with this instance of Oracle to ensure functionality. Ideal candidates will understand payroll processing, Payroll Module and be comfortable working in a techno-functional capacity through development, testing, integration and consulting with teams. Responsibilities Deep understanding of Payroll Processing, US Taxes and Payroll Accounting End-to-End integrations between HR, Compensation and Payroll Creation and maintenance of Elements and the Fast Formulas associated; Elements are specific to the Payroll Module Use of Oracle Cloud methodologies to create new, enhance, and troubleshoot components/tools such as HDL/HSDL, Fast Formulas, HCM Extract and OTBI, BI Publisher Tables used in Oracle HCM for support and reporting needs Hands-on development and solutioning within a techno-functional capacity Testing and validation during upgrades and vendor integrations Qualifications / Plusses 3-6 years of experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, Payroll module People who worked on EBS (Oracle on-prem) will have an advantage Oracle Cloud Payroll Practitioner Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) PL-SQL Day to Day / Project specifics This role is within a HR technology team that focuses specifically on payroll.
