Senior Tax Analyst role at
Supermicro . This position will assist with mainly indirect tax as well as income tax compliance (sales/use tax, VAT, GST, and WHT). The ideal candidate reports to the Sales/Use Tax Manager and works with a dynamic finance team to perform tax functions including both indirect tax and income tax. The position is based in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities
Prepare 45+ state sales tax returns, and reconcile sales tax accounts for monthly close, book tax AJE to SAP Work with IT to ensure Vertex software updates Respond to and assist Sales team on tax questions, review and process state tax exemption certificates, approve tax credit memos, and address customer tax/VAT questions Assist compliance reporting for Federal and State income tax (including estimates and extensions) to ensure timely filings Compute book-tax differences; prepare supporting tax return work papers and documentation Prepare state apportionment, state payments tracking and reconciliation Prepare other local taxes, annual reports filings, POA Manage tax audits including income tax, sales & use tax IDR requests, or tax notices Responsible for SOX tax documentation controls Maintain tax calendar Assist in other tax projects and initiatives Qualifications
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance and related field; Master of Taxation preferred CPA is required 8 years of tax experience with public accounting and industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management Solid Excel skills Salary Range
$115,000 - $149,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role.
