Overview
Under supervision, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the Hospital Assistant II assists in the delivery of care to patients in an ambulatory multi-specialty group practice. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures including assuring positive care outcomes. S/he will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the primary and specialty care services provided to patients within the practice. S/he is required to adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center. The Hospital Assistant II will be required to float, and support clinics in all ambulatory sites under the Department of Dermatology.
Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of care to patients in an ambulatory multi-specialty group practice under supervision and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff.
Perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of primary and specialty care services.
Adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center.
Float and support clinics in all ambulatory sites under the Department of Dermatology.

Salary and Benefits The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on factors including work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $29.63 - $36.99 (Hourly Rate). Required Qualifications
Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program; or equivalent combination of training and experience
Minimum of three months experience as a Medical Assistant in General Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology clinical practice
Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties
Current TB test
Current CPR license
Experience with Epic health record computer systems
Preferred Qualifications n/a
License/Certification
Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
